Tasks of Focal Points
Ensure Syrian ownership of the platform’s activities and strategic orientation
Establish and maintain partnerships to the actors who are implementing projects and assessing needs on the ground
Liaise with the lead country/organization in order to discuss and agree activities within the respective sector
Report to the leadership of the SOC and the transitional government on the outcome of the platform’s deliberations and research and give feed-back
Tasks of the Lead Countries
Develop a roadmap and timetable for their platform’s activities in the short and medium term
Initiate and implement activities within the platform (research, workshops, policy statements, etc.)
Function as the main contact point for the Secretariat and FoSP members interested in contributing
Cooperate closely with the Syrian focal points regarding data collection/needs assessment (currently Information Management Unit/ACU) and project implementation (local administrative councils)
